Efforts have begun to remove the obstacles in the construction of the Old Gurugram Metro route. Some houses of Sector-4, Sector-9, Surya Vihar and Bhiwani Enclave Colony are coming in the middle of the Metro route. The District Deputy Commissioner has assigned the responsibility to the estate officer to resolve the dispute.
Efforts have begun to remove the obstacles in the construction of the Old Gurugram Metro route. Recently, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar. In this, Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) had put forth the obstacles in the Metro route. Some houses of Sector-4, Sector-9, Surya Vihar and Bhiwani Enclave Colony are coming in the middle of the route.
The District Deputy Commissioner has issued orders to the Estate Officer of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) to remove these obstacles. GMRL’s survey has revealed that one house of Sector-9 and two houses of Sector-4 are coming under dispute. These houses have been allotted by HSVP. The District Deputy Commissioner has assigned the responsibility to Estate Officer Rakesh Saini to resolve the dispute.
In lieu of these houses, either alternative plots will be allotted or their owners will be given compensation in lieu of the houses. HSVP’s estate officer Rakesh Saini said that a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the DC.
Houses will be demolished
According to sources, some houses of Surya Vihar Colony near Sector-9 and Bhavani Enclave Colony near Basai are also coming in the middle of the metro route. GMRL has not yet provided the information of these houses in writing to HSVP. After getting the information, the land records will be checked to see if HSVP has acquired this land or not. If it has, then these houses will be demolished. If it has not, then a plan will be worked out to acquire these houses or give compensation.
Where will the first station be built?
Let us tell you that a total of 27 stations will be built on the 28.5 km long Old Gurugram Metro route. The first station will be built near Millennium City Center Metro Station and Fortis Hospital. Apart from this, metro stations will be built in Sector-45, Cyber Park, Sector-47, Subhash Chowk, Sector-48, Sector-72A, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Phase- Six, Sector-10, Sector-37, Village Basai, Sector-9, Sector-7, Sector-4, Sector-5, Ashok Vihar, Sector-3, Bajghera Road, Palam Vihar Extension, Palam Vihar, Sector-23A, Sector-22, Udyog Vihar Phase Four, Udyog Vihar Phase-Five, Cyber City.
5 interchange stations will be built here: Five interchange stations will be built in this metro route. An interchange station will be built near the Millennium City Center metro station. An interchange station will be built under the metro route built from Bhondsi to the railway station near Subhash Chowk. An interchange station will be built with the Namo Bharat train near Hero Honda Chowk. An interchange station will be built in Sector-5. An interchange station of the Namo Bharat train will be built in Cyber City.
Metro will pass through these 8 main roads of the city: Old Gurugram Metro will pass through 8 main roads of the city. These include Rao Gajraj Singh Marg, Major Sushil Aima Marg, Carterpuri Marg, Rezangla Road, Old Railway Road, Neki Ram Road, Kargil Martyr Sukhbir Singh Yadav Road, Netaji Subhash Marg.
