Gurugram News: The High Court has given strict orders regarding the houses built illegally in DLF Phase-1 to Phase-5 in Gurugram. The Haryana government may soon take action against these houses and seal them. Know what is the whole matter…
Punjab and Haryana High Court: Gurugram residents have got a big shock from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. About 5 thousand houses from DLF Phase-1 to Phase-5 of Gurugram will be sealed. The High Court on Thursday gave its verdict in a case related to these houses, in which a petition was filed in the year 2021 regarding the map and possession certificate of the houses.
The bench of Justice Suresh Thakur and Vikas Suri has asked the Haryana government to take strict action as per the appropriate rules and submit a report within the next 2 months. Now the government will submit its report to the High Court on April 19. Let us tell you that the petitioner had demanded from the court that the multi-storey buildings constructed illegally should be demolished and the occupation certificates issued wrongly should also be cancelled. Apart from this, criminal cases should be registered against the concerned building owners.
Why was the decision taken?
This decision was taken after hearing a petition filed by DLF City Residents Welfare Association in the year 2019. It was alleged in the petition that in violation of the rules, many houses of 6 to 7 floors have been built in DLF Phase-3. Business related activities take place in these houses, due to which the people living nearby face a lot of problems. It was also said in the petition that even after complaining, no action was taken by the Town and Country Planning Department.
Due to this, there is a lot of anger among the local people. Apart from this, on January 8 last month, there was an altercation between the management of DLF Phase-5 and the house owner. Taking action on this, the DLF management cut off the sewer and water connection of these houses. The hearing on this matter was going on in the district court. During the hearing in the district court regarding the notice to DTPE, advocate Satpal Yadav, who is fighting the case, said that the houses which have not violated the rules should be given basic facilities.
High court gave instructions
On the show cause notice issued by DTPE, the district court had stayed the action on 172 houses. Now the Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered that the matter should be settled within two months. Along with this, the court said that such cases do not come under the jurisdiction of the district court, due to which such cases should not be heard in future.
People are troubled by the construction of PG and guest house
According to the information, PG and guest houses are being run in many houses from DLF Phase-1 to Phase-5. Guest houses are booked for weddings and parties almost every day, due to which people living nearby face a lot of problems. Apart from this, big car showrooms have also been built in many houses. Now preparations are being made to seal all these houses on the orders of the High Court. Let us tell you that there are 3124 EWS plots in DLF Phase-3, out of which 2289 houses have violated the map and certificate of possession. Out of these, notice has been issued to 2245 houses by DTPE.
