Gurugram. After the construction of Old Gurugram Metro station, metro will be available to the passengers at an interval of every five minutes. At the same time, it is being claimed that the maximum speed of this new metro will be 80 kilometers per hour. Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) is designing the metro for 90 kilometers per hour.

According to the design prepared by GMRL for Old Gurugram Metro, initially the metro will be operated with three coaches. 975 passengers will be able to travel in it at a time. In these, seats will be available for 136 passengers. After the number of passengers increases, it will be increased to six coaches.

It will have seating arrangements for 286 passengers and will be able to carry 2004 passengers. An official involved in the metro construction stated that its body will be made of stainless steel. Its height will be 3.9 meters and width will be 2.9 meters. GMRL will provide 117 coaches for metro operation. The maximum speed of the Delhi Metro is 80 kilometers per hour, but it runs at 32 to 35 kilometers per hour. The construction cost of the depot has been revised.

According to the current survey, its construction will cost ₹332 crore (332 crore rupees). Previously, it was estimated to cost approximately ₹110 crore (110 crore rupees). According to a new survey by RITES, the metro depot was originally planned to be built on 5.5 hectares of land. Now, it will be built on 22.86 hectares. Initially, a six-kilometer track was planned inside the metro depot, but now it will be 18 kilometers. The metro depot is to be constructed near the Marble Market in Sector 33.

Land for the construction of the Metro depot has not yet been made available to GMRL. The second phase of the geotechnical survey has been completed. GMRL has completed the second phase of the geotechnical survey. The second phase will run from Sector 9 to DLF Cyber City. A geotechnical survey has been completed for approximately 13 kilometers. A geotechnical survey from Sector 5 to the railway station will commence soon. Water and soil samples will be collected as part of this survey and tender documents will be prepared.

For the construction of the Old Gurugram Metro, tree felling has begun in full swing from the Millennium City Centre Metro Station to Subhash Chowk. Metro construction will begin at a rapid pace once the casting yard is completed in Transport Nagar, Sector 33. The cycle track will be eliminated. To avoid traffic congestion during the construction of the Old Gurugram Metro, the cycle track from Millennium City Centre to Subhash Chowk will be eliminated.

Traffic from adjoining sectors will be diverted onto service roads, reducing traffic congestion on the main road. This plan was developed by the GMDA due to the commencement of construction of the Old Gurugram Metro on this road. The GMDA constructed a two-lane service road along this main road three years ago. Later, at the request of the district administration, the service road was converted into a cycle track.

Traffic was stopped by erecting barriers. Residents of the surrounding sector protested, but their demands were ignored. Taxi drivers removed the barricades at some locations and turned the service road into a taxi stand.

Gurugram Breaking News! Plans are underway to extend the metro to Gurugram railway station, with a 1.80 km track length and a cost of Rs 454 crore.
