Gurugram: Now complain about roads and water in Gurugram through WhatsApp

To provide faster resolution of citizen complaints related to civic infrastructure and amenities in Gurugram, the grievance redressal system of GMDA is being further upgraded.

Now people will be able to complain about roads and water through WhatsApp also. Vendor onboarding as well as integration of multiple complaint registration platforms is being included. Complaints lodged by citizens through helpline, website, social media platforms, WhatsApp etc. will be linked to the grievance redressal platform.

With this scheme of GMDA, people’s complaints will be resolved quickly. On Tuesday, the 67th Core Planning Cell (CPC) meeting of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) was held under the chairmanship of GMDA Chief Executive Officer PC Meena, in which senior officials of GMDA and MCG were present.

It was decided in the meeting that the details of all the agencies executing various works being done in the city will also be mapped with the platform, wherein the complaints will also reach the concerned contractor. The process of payment and imposition of any penalty will be decided based on the action taken by the agency on the complaint and the satisfaction of the citizen.

Main sewer lines will be cleaned

To provide relief to the residents of Sector-21, Infra-II Division of GMDA has cleaned the master sewer line between Sector-21/22 and 22/23 by high power super sucker machine along with 24 meter wide sewerage system in Sector 21. Presented a proposal to clean the main sewer line on the road. GMDA Chief Executive Officer approved the proposal and directed that CCTV survey should also be conducted. He said that RWAs of Sector-21 can also be involved in monitoring the work being done by the agency.

Approval to hand over possession of land

GMDA has also planned to construct a 20 MLD CETP in Sector 34-35 for disposal of chemical waste generated in the industrial area. HSIIDC has also given approval to hand over the possession of HSIIDC land in Sector-34-35 to GMDA. GMDA Chief Executive Officer directed to appoint a consultant to prepare the DPR of the project.

Green belt will develop

In the meeting Infra-A Division presented that to improve the connectivity of the upcoming Shitala Mata Medical College and Hospital being built by GMDA, construction of service road of Master Sector Dividing Road of 102A/103 is in progress by GMDA. It was also presented in the meeting that DPR is being prepared for street designing of roads from Sector 58 to 67, in which provision of footpath, cycle track, bus-bay, green belt etc. will be made. After this work will be done on it.

Need for smart traffic signal light

Mobility Division presented in the meeting that 29 new intersections have been identified in Sectors 58 to 115 where installation of smart traffic signal lights including pedestrian signal lights is required to improve traffic management in these areas. GMDA Chief Executive Officer approved the proposal and directed the team to expedite the work.
