Gurugram news: Passengers will be able to pay fare by just scanning the card, can also use it in metro

Gurugram. Haryana Transport Department has issued National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) for the convenience of passengers. Preparations for NCMC have started at Gurugram Bus Depot. To get National Common Mobility Card (NCMC), one has to apply online on the website of Transport Department. Metro trains will also be able to use the card made by the Roadways Department.

Gurugram Bus Depot General Manager Pradeep Kumar Ahlawat said that like metro trains, passengers traveling in Haryana’s roadways buses will now be able to use smart cards. Passengers will not have to pay cash fare in roadways buses using this card. Passengers will be able to pay the fare just by scanning the card. People will also be able to pay shopping mall and toll tax with this card.

Chief Inspector of Bus Depot Rajbir Singh said that passengers will have to apply online for mobility card on the official website of Haryana Roadways. No money will have to be paid for this. To activate the mobility card, the number linked to the Aadhar card will also have to be given. After entering the Aadhaar number, application can be made through OTP.
He said that mobility cards can be used in buses where tickets are being made using electric machines. NCMC pass facility will benefit families of freedom fighters, National Award winning artists, ex-servicemen, gallantry award winners (Army, Navy and Army) etc.
