Gurugram Fire: Major fire broke out in seven shops of Khandsa Mandi

Gurugram. A massive fire broke out in seven big vegetable shops in Khandsa vegetable market late on Wednesday night. More than twenty thousand crates of tomatoes, potatoes and onions and other vegetables were burnt in these shops due to the fire, causing loss worth lakhs of rupees to the shopkeepers. On receiving information about the fire, more than five fire tenders from Sector 37 fire station and other fire stations reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

The fire was so fierce that its smoke and flames were visible far away. However, after hard work the fire in the shops was brought under control. But all the goods kept in these shops were burnt. Shopkeepers fear that someone has set fire to the shops due to rivalry. A complaint has been given to the police.

According to fire brigade personnel of Sector 37, the fire was reported at 11.56 pm. After this, fire brigade vehicles were sent from different centers to extinguish the fire. Krishna Yadav, former head of the vegetable market, told that after receiving information about the fire in the night, the shopkeepers had reached the spot, but by then my shop was also burnt. In this shop alone, about 17 thousand crates of tomatoes were burnt. Apart from this, thousands of crates of other shopkeepers were also burnt.

A fire broke out in a shop, six more got injured

Former head Krishna Yadav told that at night a shopkeeper’s son had a fight with someone at a wedding ceremony. There is a suspicion that a shop was set on fire due to rivalry and other nearby shops were also burnt. The matter has been reported to the police. Firefighters were able to completely control the fire in about three hours.

Plastic crates burnt rapidly, scooter also burnt

After the fire, the plastic crates started burning rapidly. Seeing the flames and smoke, people from the surrounding area gathered in the market and started taking out the crates from the shops and bins. But due to the spread of fire, the goods could not be saved. The fortunate thing is that there was no loss of life in the accident.
