Gurugram News: After Jalabhishek in the temple located in Sector 12 Prem Nagar of Sector-14 police station area, one group of Kanwariyas attacked the other group. This attack was done with sticks, rods and swords. Half a dozen people of the other group were injured in the attack. Half a dozen vehicles were also damaged in vandalism and stone pelting. After the information of the clash, a large number of police forces were deployed here. At present the situation is peaceful.
According to the police, two groups of Sector-12 Prem Nagar went to Haridwar with Kanwar on 27 July. In this, one is a group of slum dwellers and the other is of people living in Sector 12. Sector 12 resident Deepak told that on 27 July, when both the groups started going to Haridwar to bring Kanwar, the slum group asked his group to have a competition of loud music.
When Deepak’s group refused to do this, they quarreled. At that time the dispute was resolved. It is alleged that the people of the slum group had threatened that after bringing the Kanwad, they would teach them a lesson.
Entered a house in Sector 12 and beat up people
On Friday morning, both the groups returned and performed Jalabhishek in the temple located at Prem Nagar Chowk. The people of the Sector 12 resident group were in their respective homes. Meanwhile, more than 15 people from the group of Kanwadis living in slums entered a house in Sector 12 with sticks and swords in their hands and beat up the people of the other group. Their vehicles were vandalized.
