Gurugram news: Fire broke out in a road sweeping machine running on Delhi Gurugram Expressway, see latest update.

A fire broke out in the Municipal Corporation’s moving mechanical road sweeping machine on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway at around 9 pm on Monday night. After the fire, the driver immediately came out of the sweeping machine i.e. truck, which saved his life. The accident happened in the Delhi side lane near Jharsa Chowk, after which there was a traffic jam of about seven to eight kilometers long on the expressway.

A fire broke out in the Municipal Corporation’s moving mechanical road sweeping machine on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway at around 9 pm on Monday night. After the fire, the driver immediately came out of the sweeping machine i.e. truck, which saved his life.

The accident took place in the Delhi side lane near Jharsa Chowk, following which there was a traffic jam of about seven to eight kilometers long on the expressway.

On receiving information about the fire, two fire brigades from Sector 29 fire station reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Firefighter Arjun of Sector 29 fire station said that the fire in the road sweeping machine was completely brought under control in about 40 minutes. There is no report of any casualty in the accident. The cause of the fire has not been known.

Traffic police took over the arrangements

After the fire in the mechanical road sweeping machine, the traffic police reached the spot to handle the long traffic jam on Delhi Gurugram Expressway. Vehicles going towards Delhi were stopped on the expressway. Due to this, traffic jam situation was created due to increase in the pressure of vehicles on the service lane of the expressway. The drivers remained stuck in the traffic jam for about a quarter of an hour. After the fire brigade personnel completely brought the fire under control, the traffic police started vehicular movement.
