Gurugram Election news : A total of two candidates, including BJP candidate Rao Inderjit Singh, filed nomination papers on the first day of the nomination process for the Lok Sabha elections in Gurugram. Rao Inderjit Singh submitted his nomination papers in the presence of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini. Apart from this, an independent candidate Fauji Jai Kawar Tyagi (Dixit) has also filed his nomination. Nominations can be withdrawn till May 9.

During the nomination process, there was a traffic jam on Mini Secretariat Road for about half an hour due to a large number of vehicles reaching the road simultaneously. Apart from this, there was traffic jam around Old Judicial Complex area and Mor Chowk.
Nomination papers can be withdrawn till May 9
Returning Officer of Gurgaon Parliamentary Constituency Nishant Kumar Yadav said that a total of two nominations were made on the first day of the nomination process. He said that nomination papers of the candidates will be filed from 11 am to 3 pm till May 6, meanwhile May 5 has been kept as Sunday holiday. Nomination papers will be scrutinized on May 7 at 11 am.
Candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till 3 pm on May 9. After this, election symbols will be allotted on May 9 itself at 3 pm. Nominations will be taken in the DC Court Room located at the Mini Secretariat. The Returning Officer said that the responsibilities of officers and employees have been fixed for scrutiny of candidates and applications coming for nomination and all other preparations.
Permission is given to bring three vehicles
The duty of different officers and employees has been imposed for all the works including scrutiny of nominations and security deposit. He said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, the candidates coming for nomination have been allowed to bring only three vehicles within the perimeter of the Mini Secretariat. Only three people will be able to enter the nomination room along with the candidate.
