There are plans to build a new industrial model township on 3000 acres near Pachgaon Chowk in Gurugram, adjacent to Delhi. HSIIDC will build the fourth township in the district. Earlier, townships have been built in Udyog Vihar, IMT Manesar and Sohna near the Gurugram-Delhi border.
Preparations are on to build a new Industrial Model Township (IMT) in Gurugram adjacent to Delhi. Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has prepared a plan to build this industrial township on 3000 acres near Pachgaon Chowk. HSIIDC will build the fourth township in the district. Earlier, townships have been built in Udyog Vihar, IMT Manesar and Sohna near the Gurugram-Delhi border.
More than ten thousand small and big industries are operating in all the townships of HSIIDC. More than one lakh people work in these industries. Many foreign and domestic companies have also expressed their desire to set up industries in the district.
HSIIDC will start the process to develop a new township on three thousand acres near Pachgaon Chowk from the new year. The corporation has 3 thousand acres of land in two parts near Pachgaon Chowk. There is about 1300 acres of land in one part and 1700 acres in the other part. Plots for industries will be developed here. Its plan has been prepared and after assessing how much it will cost to develop basic facilities in the township, the headquarters plan will be sent to the government for approval.
Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) will connect Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda. The station of the corridor will be built near Pachgaon. It will be easy for industries to send their goods from Gurugram to other districts of Haryana as well as other states of the country by train.
Metro will also be expanded: The corporation has three thousand acres of land in Pachgaon near Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP). After the development of IMT township here, industries will have a lot of convenience in getting and sending goods. Direct connectivity of IMT township to KMP will be arranged. Metro will be expanded from Rajiv Chowk to Global City and from there directly to Pachgaon Chowk via Manesar. People coming from Delhi will be able to reach Pachgaon by traveling directly by metro.
Five cities will be developed: Five new cities will be built on both sides of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway. There will also be planning for other cities to be built along the KMP. Apart from Sonipat, Gurgaon, one of the five new cities will also be built along the KMP in the area around Bahadurgarh. This city is number two in the list of Panchgaon of the state government. This city will be built on about 50 thousand hectares of land of the villages around Bahadurgarh.
IMT is necessary because: HSIIDC builds separate industrial model townships for industries in every district. There are industrial plots in the township, where the industrialist sets up new industries to increase his employment. HSIIDC provides basic facilities of road, water, electricity and gas for industrial township. There are already three model townships in Gurugram. With its development, local youth will also get employment here.
Rajiv Goyal, AGM HSIIDC said, “A new industrial model township will be built on three thousand acres of land at Pachgaon Chowk. The process is going on regarding this. Soon the work will start to develop the township here. Along with developing the basic facilities here, plots will be given for setting up industries.
