Gurgaon Alert: Section 163 Enforced for NEET UG 2026 With Strict Restrictions

Gurgaon district has imposed extensive security arrangements to conduct NEET UG 2026 in a peaceful and fair manner. All 18 examination centers and their surroundings fall under strict prohibitions to maintain examination integrity.

The Gurgaon administration has tightened arrangements for the National Testing Agency’s NEET UG 2026 examination scheduled on 3 May. Unprecedented security measures have been implemented across the district to preserve the examination’s dignity and transparency.
Section 163 of the Indian Citizens Security Code has been enforced by District Magistrate Uttam Singh at all 18 examination centers in the district and within a 200-meter radius. Under this provision, gathering crowds, carrying weapons, using loudspeakers, and parking vehicles are fully prohibited around the centers. Additionally, all photocopy shops and coaching centers within 500 meters of examination centers have been strictly ordered to remain closed during the examination.
What can be carried and what cannot?
The administration clarified that candidates will only be permitted to carry the following items:
Admit Card
Passport size photograph
Valid identity proof
Transparent water bottle
Complete bans apply to mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smart watches, pen scanners, and any electronic devices inside the center. Bags, purses, belts, jewelry, cameras, calculators, and pen drives are also prohibited.
Statement by DC Uttam Singh
“6,875 candidates will take the examination in the district. We have deployed extensive security arrangements. CCTV monitoring, biometric verification, and mobile jammers are ensured at all centers. Police verification of deployed staff has been conducted to eliminate any possibility of irregularities.”
Pay special attention to time
Entry for candidates will open from 11 a.m. DC Uttam Singh issued a clear warning that center gates will be closed at 1:30 p.m., after which entry will not be allowed under any circumstances. The main examination will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., while disabled candidates will be allowed until 6 p.m. The administration has appealed to all candidates and guardians to strictly follow the rules and reach the center in advance to avoid inconvenience.
