Gurugram Road leading from Sadar Bazar Chowk to New Colony closed for a month

Gurugram: Drivers going from the city’s Rajiv Chowk towards Gurgaon Railway Station had to face problems on Wednesday due to the change of route. Work of opening the blocked sewer is to be done on the Old Railway Road near Sadar Bazar. As such, the Gurugram Traffic Police has closed the road leading from Sadar Bazar Chowk towards New Colony for a month. On Wednesday, there was jam on the road during peak hours in the morning and evening. The Gurugram Police jawans had to work hard to keep the traffic smooth on the road. On the first day, the drivers were not aware of the road closure, as such some drivers had to take a lot of detours to reach their destination.

Gurugram Traffic Police has informed in the advisory that work of opening the blocked sewer is to be done on Old Railway Road near Sadar Bazar. Hence, the road from Sadar Bazar Chowk to Kabir Bhawan Chowk has been closed for a month. This route change will only affect the road going from Rajiv Chowk towards Gurgaon Railway Station. At the same time, the movement of vehicles on the road coming from Gurgaon Railway Station towards Rajiv Chowk will remain smooth. At the same time, vehicles going from Rajiv Chowk towards Gurgaon Railway Station are being diverted from New Colony turn via Siddheshwar Chowk, Jail Complex Chowk, Bhuteshwar Temple, Pataudi Chowk.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Virendra Vij says that the road has been closed for a month to carry out work related to opening the blocked sewer on Old Railway Road near Sadar Bazar. Instructions have been given to the Gurugram Traffic Police teams to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
