While returning home, a professor in Global College was shot dead by bike-borne youths. Professor Prashant was returning home with a lady professor of the college. Four youths riding on two bikes near the temple in Harinagar Duma village of Farukhnagar carried out the incident.
Incident at 5.30 pm
The incident took place on Friday evening at around 5.30 pm. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. Police admitted Prashant to the hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead. Prashant, a resident of Model Town, Jhajjar, was posted as a professor at Global College.
After being discharged from college on Friday evening, he was going home to Jhajjar on his motorcycle. He was accompanied by another college professor on a motorcycle. When he reached near Duma village, four youths riding two bikes blocked the way by putting their bike in front of his bike.
Woman ran away to the village
After blocking the way of the bike riders, the woman got down and ran towards the village. Prashant also left the bike and started running in the fields. Bike riding youths shot Prashant while running towards the fields. After being shot, he fell in the fields in a bloody condition. After this, the youth who shot them fled from the spot.
The youth shot the professor three times
It is being told that three shots have been fired. This has not been confirmed yet. Apart from the Farukhnagar police station, the crime branch team is also probing the matter. Police has taken the dead body into custody. By registering a case, the police is probing the incident from different angles.
