Gurugram News: Stadium worker attacked for not paying extortion, threatened to kill

Gurugram. A case of 8-10 youths attacking a stadium employee and threatening to kill him for not paying extortion money has come to light in DLF Phase-4 police station area. The injured in the attack have been admitted for treatment. Police registered the case and started investigation.

In the complaint given to the police, Sumit of village Bandhwadi said that there is a cricket stadium of Gurugram resident Anshul Tatia in his village. Sumit works here. He and his uncle Mohit were playing the match at the stadium at around 12 o’clock in the night.

Meanwhile, 4-5 youths of Bandhwadi along with Sonu, Gajendra, Karan and Sonu’s nephew came in two vehicles. Sonu demanded extortion every month from Sumit in exchange for hosting matches. To which Sumit refused. After this, everyone together attacked Sumit and beat him fiercely.

While leaving, the accused said that they collect money from all the stadiums in the same way. Sumit was admitted to a private hospital by his uncle Mohit. Police registered the case and started investigation.
