Gurugram news: The potholes on the roads of the district are becoming a problem for private vehicles as well as public transport service. Problems of wear and tear in vehicles are increasing. At the same time, Gurugram city buses are breaking down mid-way due to being low-floor. Due to potholes on the roads, Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) has stopped the operation of Gurugram city buses on route number-255.

GMCBL has stopped the Gurugram city buses operating on route number-255 from Gurugram bus stand to Farrukhnagar. The potholes on the road near Dhankot village were causing damage to the city buses. Two city buses were being operated on this route, which used to make 10 rounds in a day.

These buses used to run from the bus stand to Farrukhnagar via Sohna Chowk, Bhuteshwar Mandir Chowk, Baldev Nagar, Civil Hospital Sector-10, Basai Chowk, Basai Village, Dhankot Village, Chandu Village, Kaliyavas Village, Sultanpur Village. Passengers are facing problems due to the closure of city buses. Passengers now have to reach Basai Dhankot in autos only.

Earlier, the city bus service running from Route No. 120 Millennium City Centre Metro Station to Sohna via Damdama has also been stopped. Due to potholes on the road on this route, the problem of wear and tear of city buses had increased.

Due to this, along with the city buses getting damaged, GMCB was also facing financial loss. Due to the stoppage of city buses on this route too, passengers and students are facing problems in commuting.

Rajiv Nagpal, manager of the bus depot of Sector-10 of GMCB, said that due to potholes in the roads, the low-floor city buses are facing increasing losses. Due to which these buses break down mid-way, so the operation of city buses is being stopped on potholed routes. After the construction of new roads, city buses will be run on the routes again.
