Gurugram news: Eight families living in J Tower of Chintels Paradiso Society located in Sector-109 have been strictly warned by Chintels India Limited to vacate the flat. The company has issued a notice and decided to stop the operation of the lift from August 27 and cut off the power supply from August 30.
This step has been taken after the tower was declared unsafe by IIT Delhi and District Administration Gurugram. It is worth noting that according to the report of IIT Delhi in January 2023, J Tower was considered unsafe to live in. After which most of the families have vacated their flats. Eight families are still living in this tower and have refused to vacate the flats.
There was an order to vacate the flat within 15 days
District Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav had also declared J Tower unsafe under the Disaster Management Act on August 7 and issued an order to vacate it within 15 days. Debabrata Dutta, a resident of J Tower in Chintels Society, alleges that the builder is harassing him.
Lift and electricity supply will be stopped
He says that the flat owners should be given six months’ rent and relocation charges. He has also demanded that no clear information has been given about when the construction of the tower will start again.
Rakesh Hooda, RWA president of the society, says that the district administration has not given orders for displacement. Residents cannot be expected to vacate flats without any arrangement for displacement. Hooda says that the district administration should cooperate with the residents. In this regard, guidelines should be issued to the builder management to talk to the residents.
JN Yadav, senior vice president of Chintels India Limited, says that the vibration caused by the operation of the lift can damage the tower, so the lift is being shut down. After this, the power supply will also be stopped.
Power backup restored after uproar in GPL Society
Power backup has been restored after the uproar in GPL Eden Heights located in Badshahpur Sector-70. The RWA of the society had cut the power backup of some people for not paying the maintenance amount.
People protested against this. People say that those who are paying the maintenance amount on time. They are also being harassed. Police also reached the spot when the uproar took place. Both the parties were pacified after persuasion.
RWA is acting arbitrarily
Sunir Mittal, a resident of GPL Eden Heights, says that the RWA is acting arbitrarily. We are paying the maintenance charges on time. Despite this, it is being said that the society has gone into losses. Now this amount has been forcibly put on the flat owners. If the amount is not paid, the electricity supplied by the generator is being cut off.
On Saturday, when DHBVN’s power went out, the power supply was cut off. RWA President Preeti Purohit said that the agenda has been passed in the general assembly meeting. Most of the flat owners have paid the amount. About 15 flat owners are defaulters. They are not paying the amount. They have been given three days’ time. If the amount is not deposited, electricity will not be provided from the generator.
