Gurugram News: Exemption on interest charged on outstanding amount in property tax

Gurugram. A golden opportunity has been given by the government to the property owners of Municipal Corporation Gurugram, Municipal Council Sohna and Pataudi-Mandi and Municipality Farrukhnagar. Under this,
the government has given 100 percent lump sum exemption on the interest charged on the outstanding amount of property tax. Along with this, those making payment by self-certifying the property data on the NDC portal will also get 15 percent discount on the principal amount.

The notification has been issued by the Urban Local Bodies Department on Tuesday. Under this, those who pay the entire outstanding property tax by December 31 and self-certify their property data on the NDC portal can avail a discount of 15 percent on the principal amount along with interest waiver. A one-time rebate of 15 percent on the principal amount of property tax dues for the years 2010-11 to 2022-23 will also be available to those property owners who pay all their dues by December 31. Along with this, 100 percent lump sum rebate will also be given on the interest charged on the outstanding amount of property tax pending from the year 2010-11 to 2022-23.

Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner PC Meena called upon the property owners of Gurugram, Pataudi-Mandi, Sohna and Farrukhnagar areas to take advantage of this scheme. This opportunity has been given by the government only till 31 December 2023.
