Gurugram News: Court bans Durga Utsav to be held in society park

Gurugram. The court has put a stay on the society’s petition on the Durga Utsav to be held next month in the park located in Vatika Block-K, Sector-83.

The court has imposed this ban till further orders. The society residents had argued in their petition that the six-day long Durga Utsav in the society would spoil the greenery and plants of their only park. This order has been given by the court of Civil Judge Pragati Rana.

Block head of Vatika located in Sector-83, Omveer Singh and advocate Sushma told that Akshara Foundation is preparing to organize Durga Utsav from October 19 to October 24 in the K-Block-K Park of the society. Along with this, he wants to organize religious events as a business. For this, he is promoting setting up many stalls there.

He will also take money for this. He told that his society has the only good park. It will get spoiled during the six-day festival there. He wants to develop that park as a biodiversity park for the society residents. Along with this he told that

About two thousand people are expected to attend the festival. In such a situation, there may be problems ranging from parking to security of the society. Along with this, he said in his petition that the organizers have neither taken any permission from the RWA nor their maintenance company for the festival. When the organizers refused to do so, they started spreading false propaganda against the society on social media. Advocate Sushma said that the court of Civil Judge Pragati Rana has banned Durga Utsav till further orders.
