Gurugram news: Bike riding delivery boy dragged for 50 meters by private bus, dies

In Sector-5 police station area, near Chintapurni temple at 10 o’clock on Saturday night, a speeding bus hit a 32-year-old delivery boy riding a bike ahead. The bike got stuck in the bumper of the bus. Due to this, the bike kept dragging for about 50 meters. The young man died in the accident. The police has kept the body in the post-mortem house.

The bike got stuck in the bumper of the bus. Due to this, the bike kept dragging for about 50 meters. The young man died in the accident. The police has kept the body in the post-mortem house.

Aditya, a resident of Laxman Vihar Phase 2, told the police station that he had gone to Chintapurni temple for some work. Meanwhile, a high-speed private bus coming from behind hit another bike rider in front of him. The youth was wearing a Swiggy T-shirt.

After the collision, the bike of the youth got stuck in the bumper and was dragged for more than 50 meters. After this, the youth fell near the divider. After going a little further, the bus driver stopped the bus and then fled from there with the bus. Passersby took the injured youth to the nearby Sarvodaya Hospital, from where he was taken to Sector 10 Civil Hospital.

The youth died during treatment. On Sunday evening, the deceased youth was identified as Bhupendra Kumar, a resident of Ashok Vihar Phase 3. Police said that he was originally a resident of village Berwa in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He used to work as a food delivery boy for Swiggy company here. On Saturday night, he was returning home after work.

The accident happened during this time. On Aditya’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused bus driver. After this, the police took action and seized the bus. The accused is still absconding.
