Cyber thugs defrauded a woman from Gurugram of about Rs 35 lakh in the name of investing in the stock market. The woman has registered a case in Cyber Police Station East.
Sakshi Jain, a resident of DLF Phase 2, said in a complaint to the police station that a few days ago she saw an advertisement of the stock market on the Internet media. After this she got a call. She was lured with huge profits in the name of investing in shares. Sakshi invested some amount initially.
After this she was added to a group. Sakshi was shown good profits in her digital account. After this she invested Rs 34 lakh 91 thousand. When Sakshi asked to withdraw the money, she was asked to invest more money. On realizing the fraud, she lodged a complaint in the police station.
