Gurugram news: A huge cache of ganja has been recovered from an empty house in Nanu Khurd village of Pataudi area of Gurugram. Gurugram police raided and recovered 762.15 kg of illegal ganja, which is worth crores of rupees in the market.
On the basis of a secret information, the team of DLF Phase 4 Crime Unit led by Inspector Sandeep Kumar raided a house in Nanu Khurd village on Monday night. When the police reached there, the house was found closed. After this, the police team contacted the house owner Ram Singh, a native of Daulatabad Kuni village.
The lock of the house was broken in the presence of the village sarpanch and the guard. Police said that during this time a duty magistrate was appointed, after which the lock of the house was broken in the presence of the village sarpanch and a guard. At the same time, the entire raid has also been videographed.
Police conducting raids to nab smugglers
Giving information, the police said that during the investigation, the team found 762.15 kg of illegal ganja in plastic sacks. Later, an FIR was registered against an unknown suspect at Pataudi police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. After finding such a huge amount of ganja, the police is conducting raids to nab the smugglers.
The house was vacant for the last few years- ACP
Gurugram ACP Varun Dahiya said that the house was vacant for the last few years and the house owner claims that he never gave his house on rent. We are looking for smugglers. That is, according to the house owner’s claim, he does not know how the marijuana came into his house.
