Gurugram. Three new colonies outside the control area of the Municipal Corporation in the district have acquired the eligibility to be regularized.
With this, the number of colonies fulfilling the eligibility for regularization outside the corporation area in the district has now increased to 24. Soon the administration is going to send the proposal for their regularization to the government. Even before this, the administration has sent the list of colonies meeting the standards to the government.
In the meeting of the Town and Country Planning Department on Friday, District Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav reviewed the status of colonies fulfilling the eligibility outside the corporation area and in the control area of the Town and Country Planning Department.
Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said that a survey of irregular colonies settled outside the corporation area was conducted by the Town and Country Planning Department in the year 2021. In which 102 colonies were identified. Out of which the list of colonies meeting the prescribed standards has already been sent. The way for regularization of colonies became easier
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Haryana Government has now made the path of regularizing irregular colonies easier. The first condition for eligibility to regularize the colony, The area of the colony should be minimum two acres. Internal roads should be at least 3 meters wide. There should also be a report in the proposal regarding the feasibility of connecting the colony by road to the PWD department.
ACP Headquarters Nodal Officer in action to remove illegal construction
In the meeting, DTP (Enforcement) Manish Yadav informed the committee about the department’s action to stop illegal construction and the proposal for new colonies. The Deputy Commissioner said that ACP Headquarters has been made the nodal officer for police related work to stop illegal construction and beautification.
Also, whichever department demands police protection and duty magistrate for its action, then an officer of the same department will be made duty magistrate. Not more than two departments will take action to remove encroachment or demolition in a day
