Gurugram Breaking News: These 59 illegal colonies of Gurugram and Manesar will be regularized

The blueprint to regularize 59 illegal colonies of Gurugram city has been prepared. In this, 26 illegal colonies belong to Municipal Corporation Gurugram area, while 33 illegal colonies are included in Municipal Corporation Manesar area. Both the Municipal Corporations have completed the survey work to regularize these illegal colonies. Its proposal will be prepared and will now be sent to the Urban Local Bodies Department.

Three colonies of Manesar Corporation have already been regularised. In such a situation, now 33 colonies are also being sent to the government for regularization. Municipal Corporation Gurugram has prepared a list of colonies to be sent to the government.

103 colonies to be regularised: A total of 103 illegal colonies of Gurugram Municipal Corporation area are to be regularised. After sending the survey report of 63 colonies to the headquarters by the Municipal Corporation, now a proposal will be sent to regularize 26 more illegal colonies. Illegal colonies meeting the norms will be regularised. In such a situation, now people living in illegal colonies are hopeful that they will also get basic facilities from the government due to regularization of their colony.

Survey of these colonies: The Municipal Corporation has surveyed Shyam Kunj, Ganga Vihar, Sahib Kunj, Mayur Kunj, SPR Colony, Chandan Vihar-II, Rayal Bhavani Enclave, New Palam Vihar one and two, Laxman Vihar, Saraswati Enclave, Ekta Enclave, K 57, Dhankot Enclave Colony, Surat Nagar- Phase-1 Extn, Siyaram Enclave, RR Colony, Vatika Kunj, Nihal Colony Extn, Panchavali, Maruti Kunj, Vatika Kunj Part-2, Saraswati Enclave Extn-1, Saraswati Enclave Extn-2, Survey of Shanti Kunj Part-2 and Sneh Vihar has been completed.

A proposal to regularize these colonies will be sent to the headquarters. 37 illegal colonies of Manesar Corporation are to be regularized, out of which the government has regularized three colonies and canceled one colony. Because the place where the colony is situated is the land of the college. Apart from this, the Survey Corporation has now prepared 33 colonies. Their proposal will also be sent to the government.

No facilities are available in illegal colonies

According to the rules, no facility can be given to the citizens in illegal colonies from the Municipal Corporation or any other department. After the colony is regularised, facilities like road, sewer and drinking water will be provided by the Municipal Corporation. Facilities like installation of street lights, development of parks and door-to-door garbage collection will also be provided by the Municipal Corporation. On July 19, the government had set the norms for regularization of colonies by 2022, which were amended on April 6, 2023. A list of illegal colonies was sought after surveying them from all the districts of the state.
