Gurugram. The administration has now served notices to the families living in five unsafe towers of Chintels. The administration’s argument is that people will have to vacate the tower as soon as possible considering the responsibility for the accident in the unsafe tower.
Meanwhile, the builder will have to consider the problems of the people living here. The builder will have to take his own initiative and find a middle path within the stipulated time period of notice. After repeated accidents in Chintels Paradiso located in Sector-109 of Dwarka Expressway, now preparations are on to demolish its five unsafe towers.
However, out of five G and H towers, 15 families are still not ready to leave their homes. In such a situation, the administration has given notices to these families to vacate their houses for safety reasons. Despite this, these families have still not made up their mind to vacate the house. In fact, in Chintales Paradiso Society, which has a total of nine towers, towers of minimum 15 and maximum 20 floors have been built.
According to the analysis team of IIT Delhi, five towers D, E, F, G, H of Chintels are declared unsafe. However, the technical report of G Tower is still pending. Despite this, in the preliminary report it has been considered unsafe. Also, the safety report of the other four towers will have to be considered safe only on the basis of annual analysis. Even the secure towers of Chintels cannot be trusted with a one-time analysis.
At present, 132 out of total 288 flat owners have completely made up their minds and vacated their houses with one of the two options suggested by the builder. Out of these, 110 families have even handed over the sale deed to the builder. Most of the families have signed an agreement with the builder to pay Rs 6500 per square feet along with stamp duty expenses and GST for interior design. Others have chosen the second option of house-for-home. However, still 15 families are not ready to choose any path. These families have urged the administration to add some more conditions to the option.
Chintels’ unsafe towers came into limelight after the accident.
On February 10 last year, a part of the roof of the sixth floor of Tower D of Chintels Paradiso Society, located in Sector-109, Gurugram, had collapsed. Two people were killed and about half a dozen people were injured. About nine months after the accident, Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav had said in a press conference that the structural investigation by experts from IIT Delhi had found this tower to be unfit for habitation. In such a situation it will be demolished.
Considering all the suggestions of the administration and tower residents, two options were given by the builder. Most of the families have made their opinion clear to the builder by adopting one of the two options. Despite this, 15 families are adamant. The builders are now not ready to accept any other conditions. Any other provision will make a difference to all families. Now the administration will make these people vacate their houses.

Continuous meetings are going on for administrative initiatives. Notices have been given to 15 families living in unsafe towers under the Disaster Management Act. Living in such a tower is like risking one’s life. This has been done for the safety of these families. Besides, the builder has also been asked to find a middle path. This tower will have to be vacated as soon as possible.
