Gurugram Accident: A truck coming from Delhi hit a bike from behind near a CNG pump on the Delhi Jaipur Highway in Bilaspur. Due to the collision, the bike got stuck in front of the truck and was dragged for 50 meters. Two youths riding the bike died in the accident. After the incident, the driver fled leaving the truck. The police have sent the bodies of both for post-mortem and started investigation.
Truck hit bike from behind
According to police, Vipul, a resident of village Bahoda Kala, had gone to Bilaspur on Saturday evening by bike with his friend Abhay Jeet Chauhan, a resident of ward 10 of Pataudi. When they were returning home, a truck coming from Delhi hit the bike from behind near the CNG pump ahead of Bilaspur Chowk.
Both the youths were studying
People present at the spot said that due to the collision, the bike got stuck in front of the truck and dragged for 50 meters. Both the people seriously injured in the accident were taken to a private hospital. Here the doctors declared both of them dead. The police station is searching for the accused driver. 23-year-old Vipul and 18-year-old Abhayjeet were studying.
Road collapsed due to leakage in sewer line, traffic diverted
The main road leading to Basai collapsed on Saturday due to leakage in the sewer line. A pit about ten to twelve feet deep was formed in the road near Manohar Nagar. After the road collapsed, traffic was diverted on Basai Road.
After receiving the information, Gurugram Municipal Corporation officials reached the spot. Barricades have been installed around the pit to prevent any accident. Corporation officials say that the repair work of the sewer line will be completed in two days and traffic movement on the road will become normal.
Let us tell you that the roads of the entire city have become dilapidated due to potholes. Vehicles are breaking down on the roads. A major accident can happen anytime due to the sinking of roads. There is a need to be cautious while walking on the roads at night.
