Mani Singh, Greater Noida: The Dankaur police station in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh has arrested a 57-year-old Nigerian woman named Ujju. The foreign national was arrested on charges of selling illegal alcohol. Police recovered approximately 60 liters of foreign liquor from her possession.

Police registered a case under the Excise Act and have begun verifying her documents and legality of her stay in the country. Information about the case has also been provided to the concerned foreign embassy. The accused was presented in court on Sunday and sent to jail.

Following reports of illegal alcohol sales, police conducted a raid in the Dankaur area of Greater Noida. A foreign woman was arrested from Supertech Upcountry Society. A large quantity of foreign alcohol was recovered from the accused’s possession during the arrest. Police presented the accused in court on Sunday and sent her to jail.

Allegations of selling alcohol illegallyAccording to police, Dankaur police received information that a foreign woman had been illegally selling alcohol for a long time in Supertech Upcountry Society. It is alleged that the woman was running an alcohol smuggling business under the guise of a shop. Based on the information received, the team conducted a raid there on Sunday. During the search, approximately 60 liters of foreign liquor were recovered from the woman’s shop. During interrogation, the accused woman confessed that she had been selling alcohol for a long time.

Identified as a Nigerian citizenPolice subsequently arrested the foreign woman. The accused woman has been identified as 57-year-old Ujju, a resident of Nigeria. Police have registered a case against the accused woman under the Excise Act. Police are also checking her documents and the validity of her stay in India. Information about this case has also been given to the concerned foreign embassy. The Dankaur police station stated that the accused woman was arrested and presented in court on Sunday. She has been sent to judicial custody. Police are further investigating the case.
