On the morning of 11 June 2026, a grave clash erupted in the Bilaspur industrial area of Gurugram over a scrap‑loading contract. The confrontation occurred outside a company premises, escalating into a fierce shootout between two rival gangs.
Witnesses report that more than ten rounds were fired, creating an atmosphere of terror in the surrounding neighbourhood. The gunfire continued for about half an hour, with both sides exchanging heavy fire. During the ordeal, several vehicles—approximately six in total—were heavily damaged, some colliding with one another while others had their windows shattered by stones.
Paramedics and security personnel noted that many of the victims were seriously injured. Police canvassed the scene and recovered bullet casings alongside the wrecked vehicles. In the ensuing chaos, the suspects fled by abandoning their vehicles before law‑enforcement teams arrived.
Gurugram Police spokesperson Sanjeev Kumar stated that multiple teams reached the site promptly after receiving the call. “Within five hours of the incident, the main accused and eight other individuals were taken into custody,” he said. The arrest occurs after the police secured the area and began an investigation.
The dispute stemmed from a contract for scrap loading and unloading at the Ansel Pioneer City project. Bijuendra Rath, a resident of Tandav, once held the contract but it was later awarded to another company. The change sparked tension between Rath’s associates and the new contractors, culminating in the violent confrontation.
Local residents have expressed concern over the sudden spike in gang activity and the resulting public safety risk. The police have urged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Gurugram Police on 112.
