Depressed over the breakup with his girlfriend, a 25-year-old young man committed suicide by hanging himself. Before committing suicide, the young man also sent a suicide note on his friend’s WhatsApp, in which he wrote the names of his girlfriend and her friend. On Wednesday, the police took the complaint to the city police station. A case has been registered against the girlfriend and another youth and investigation has been started.
The deceased has been identified as Shivam Bhatnagar, a resident of Jacobpura, who worked in a private company. His father Sanjay Bhatnagar has been a priest at the Krishna temple in Jacobpura for many years and lives with his family in rooms on the first floor of the temple. He told that Shivam Bhatnagar committed suicide by hanging himself with the help of a sheet from the fan after closing his room at seven o’clock on Tuesday evening.

At that time, the deceased’s father was sitting in the temple when Shivam’s friend Akash called and told him about the WhatsApp suicide note sent by Shivam. When Sanjay and others reached the first floor, they found the room locked. Police said that people nearby broke the door, brought Shivam down and took him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The father of the deceased told that before committing suicide, Shivam had sent a suicide note to his friend Akash on his WhatsApp at around 6:45 pm. A girl and another youth have been mentioned in the suicide note. Shivam had written in the suicide note that he was committing suicide because of a girl. He also wrote the name of another youth in the suicide note. Shivam was having an affair with that girl. There was also a conversation with the girl on WhatsApp from 2.30 pm to 5 pm on Tuesday. Shivam broke up with her and eventually committed suicide.
