Election date announced in Gurugram, votes will be cast on this day

24 lakh 94 thousand 44 voters from Gurugram, Rewari and Mewat regions will vote in the Lok Sabha elections. Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Nishant Kumar Yadav said that if new voters get their votes cast, this number may increase further. Preparations are going on by the Election Department for the Lok Sabha elections.

Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency includes nine assembly seats of Gurugram, Rewari and Mewat regions, which include Bawal, Rewari, Pataudi, Badshahpur, Gurugram, Sohna, Nuh, Firozpur Jhirka and Punhana areas. He told that 2 lakh 24 thousand 458 in Bawal assembly constituency, 2 lakh 46 thousand 801 in Rewari assembly constituency, 2 lakh 45 thousand 787 in Pataudi assembly constituency, 4 lakh 62 thousand 765 in Badshahpur constituency, 4 lakh 5 thousand in Gurugram assembly constituency. There are 2 lakh 70 thousand 259 voters in 814 and Sohna assembly constituencies.

Auxiliary polling stations with more than 1500 voters

Apart from this, there are 2 lakh 310 voters in Nuh assembly constituency, 2 lakh 38 thousand 807 voters in Firozpur Jhirka and 1 lakh 99 thousand 43 voters in Punhana assembly constituency. There are a total of 24 lakh 94 thousand 44 voters in the district, who will vote in the Lok Sabha elections. A total of 2407 polling stations have been set up in the Lok Sabha constituency to conduct the voting process. Of these, 989 polling booths are located in urban areas and 1418 booths are located in rural areas. In these, auxiliary polling stations will also be built at polling stations with more than 1500 voters.

Voter ID cards will be made even after the announcement of elections.

The District Election Officer said that after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, only citizens of 18 years of age or above can get their new vote made. After this, no work will be done to remove inaccuracies in the voter ID card or to get the vote deducted or transferred to another booth. To make a new vote, one can apply online on the website voters.eci.gov.in or one can apply offline by filling form number six of the election department.
