The teams of Municipal Corporation Gurugram have imposed a fine of Rs 11.50 lakh on 2063 people from June till now for littering by throwing garbage in public places. This action has been taken against those doing street vending along the roads, shopkeepers in market areas and those throwing garbage here and there. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Narhari Singh Bangar said that action will continue against those who spoil the cleanliness system.

Swachhata teams are constantly monitoring

Spreading dirt by throwing garbage on roads, footpaths, streets, green belts, empty plots, markets etc. is a punishable offense and the cleanliness teams are constantly monitoring those doing so and are immediately imposing fines on them and getting them to pay the fine.

The Municipal Commissioner said that the cleanliness teams of the corporation are regularly ensuring cleanliness of the city, but it is often seen that after the cleaning in the morning, some people take out the garbage from their houses and establishments and throw it again on the road or street.

Due to this, the cleaning done by the sanitation workers gets spoiled again. Municipal Corporation Gurugram is repeatedly appealing to the citizens to keep the garbage in the dustbin and hand over the garbage to the garbage collector when he comes.

By throwing garbage here and there, it not only spreads dirt and smell in the surrounding area by flying with the wind, but also plays its role in increasing environmental pollution.

Second phase of GRAP implemented, these are banned

The Municipal Commissioner said that the second phase of the Graded Response Action Plan has been implemented by the Air Quality Management Commission and many types of activities that increase pollution have been banned. These include ban on burning garbage, transporting garbage, debris and construction material without covering, using wood and coal in tandoor and illegally throwing garbage and debris.

Apart from this, it is mandatory to follow environmental rules in construction works. Under this, it is necessary to cover the construction site and keep the construction material covered by sprinkling water on it. If any person violates, there is a provision to impose fine and take other legal action against him under various rules.
