Haryana’s Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Krish Bedi, announced that a drone manufacturing unit, initiated from the historic land of Hansi, will establish Haryana’s reputation in the technology sector. He stated that India is no longer just a consumer of foreign technologies, but also a country developing new technologies and leading the world.
Young people in Haryana possess the talent to demonstrate their scientific and technological abilities on a global scale. The minister addressed the launch event of the drone manufacturing and training project held in Sisai village of Hansi district. He highlighted that Deep Sisai and his team have set up a modern drone manufacturing unit on village land, inspiring the state’s youth.
The minister noted that countries such as Japan, the United States, Germany and China began with small technology units and built global recognition. Likewise, Haryana is rapidly advancing in technological innovation and modern industries.
He emphasized that the most important aspect of the project is training SC, ST and economically weaker youth in drone technology, linking them to employment and self‑employment. He said connecting youth with new technologies is essential for their self‑reliance and significant contribution to the country’s economy.
The minister added that today’s youth should move towards drone operations, mobile repair, and technology‑based businesses along with traditional employment. The government is working to provide employment through various schemes for youth and women to become self‑reliant.
Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation is providing loan facilities under various schemes for youth to start self‑employment. Previously, loans up to a lakh and a half required guarantees, but now eligible youth can receive unsecured loans. Subsidy amounts have also been increased to allow more youth to benefit.
The minister stated that under Chief Minister Nayi Singh Saini’s leadership, the state government continually implements new schemes to economically empower SC and Other Backward Class communities. The government is also working to increase loan limits to promote self‑employment.
Cabinet Minister Krish Bedi and MLA Vinod Bhayana formally opened the drone city in the village and distributed certificates to trained drone pilots. Founder Deep Sihaag mentioned that 500 youths will receive drone pilot training.
