Gurugram District Legal Services Authority has announced the organization of a Special Lok Adalat on May 30, 2026, specifically for resolving cases related to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

The event will take place at the District Court Complex in Gurugram. It is being organized under the directions of Haryana State Legal Services Authority, Panchkula, and will be conducted under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, Gurugram District Legal Services Authority, Narinder Sura.

Joint Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, Gurugram District Legal Services Authority, Nisha stated that the primary objective of this Special Lok Adalat is to facilitate mutual understanding and amicable settlement of pending NI Act cases. This approach aims to save time and money for all parties involved while making the judicial process simpler, accessible, and effective.

It has been clarified that no additional court fees will be charged for settling cases through this Special Lok Adalat. The decisions pronounced by the Lok Adalat will be final and binding on all parties concerned.

The District Legal Services Authority, Gurugram has appealed to all concerned parties, lawyers, and the general public to maximize participation in this Special Lok Adalat and resolve their matters through mutual consent.
