Tragic accident in Gurugram: Due to the open lid of the sewer line in Sihi village of Sector-37 police station area, a two-year-old child fell into it while playing. In this accident he died on the spot. Till now no complaint has been given by the family to the police station. However, family members have said that the accident happened because the sewer cover was open.

However, family members have said that the accident happened because the sewer cover was open. If the lid had remained closed the child would not have fallen in. GMDA officials are responsible for this accident.
According to the information, Bhagat Singh of Nepali origin has been living with his family in Sihi village for many years. He has a tea shop just outside the village. His two-year-old son Pradeep was playing near the shop at seven o’clock on Wednesday evening. While playing, he reached near the open hole of the main line sewer.
Due to lack of lid, the child fell into it and died due to drowning in water. People nearby informed the police. Sector-37 and Kherkidaula police reached the spot. After this the child’s body was taken out.
However, no written complaint has been given to the police station yet. Sector-37 police station said that the matter is being investigated. After receiving the complaint, action will be taken against the concerned. At present the body has been sent for postmortem.
