Gurugram traffic police have arrested a biker who broke records with 50 traffic violations in a single year, accumulating fines totaling ₹3,68,800. The incident occurred at Sheetla Mata Road on Saturday evening during a special drive against vehicles with long-pending traffic challans.

Traffic Inspector Ramesh Kumar made the shocking discovery when checking a TVS Star City bike (UP32EC2094). The machine revealed 50 pending challans against the vehicle within just one year. The youth, identified as Devam Saxena, had repeatedly violated traffic rules including riding without a helmet, jumping red lights, and operating the vehicle without valid pollution (PUC) certificate and insurance.

In a separate incident on Sunday morning at Agreseen Chowk, traffic police also seized a mini-truck with 42 pending challans amounting to ₹5,48,500. The truck violations included entering no-entry zones, driving in the wrong direction, and not using seat belts. Police noted that hundreds of challans were issued for no-entry violations alone on this vehicle.

Gurugram traffic police have issued a stern warning to violators. Vehicles with challans pending for more than 90 days are being blacklisted. Police are now seizing vehicles on the spot if the accumulated fines remain unpaid. The increased monitoring through smart city cameras ensures every traffic violation is recorded.

“Road safety is not just a rule, but your and others’ safety. Follow traffic rules and pay pending challans on time, otherwise your vehicle may also end up in the police detention list,” traffic police warned.
