Six Gang Shooters Arrested in Karol Bagh Lounge Incident
Six gangsters linked to Rashid Cablewala and Hashim Baba held in Delhi’s Karol Bagh lounge raids involving extortion and illegal arms.

Delhi Police’s crime branch arrested six alleged shooters linked to gangsters Rashid Cablewala and Hashim Baba after tracing them to a party at a Karol Bagh lounge on Pusa Road. The accused, including Faiz Qureshi (26), Maaz (24), Nawajish (32), Affak (24), Imran (39), and Arshad (25), were planning attacks on rival gang members and engaged in extortion, betting, and illegal arms activities across east and northeast Delhi.
Surveillance by a police team on May 6 revealed the gathering of operatives tied to Cablewala and Baba. Four suspects were nabbed outside the lounge around 4:05 am. The police recovered four sophisticated pistols, including two Italy-made Beretta guns, and 32 live cartridges from a Maruti Baleno car near the venue. Two more accused, Arshad and Imran, were arrested later, along with additional weapons.
Cablewala, associated with jailed gangster Baba, operates from Dubai and is linked to high-profile murders in Delhi, including businessman Nadir Shah in Greater Kailash-I and Sunil Jain in Krishna Nagar. Nawajish allegedly handled illegal arms for the gang, with five firearms and 53 cartridges recovered at his instance. Imran managed the gang’s finances, while Maaz and others collected extortion money from local clubs.
The police highlighted concerns about gangsters assembling in city bars and warned district DCPs to intervene. Cablewala’s connections through encrypted apps and his role in multiple killings underscore the severity of the case. The arrests and seizures signal intensified efforts to curb organized criminal activities in Delhi.
