A fuel station worker in Faridabad allegedly sprayed petrol on a woman during a payment dispute, escalating tensions at the petrol pump on BK-Neelam Marg in NIT. Police stated the incident occurred when the woman visited to refuel her two-wheeler and clashed with an employee over payment.
The staff member reportedly lifted the nozzle and sprayed fuel on the woman, prompting her to object and warn that she would file a police complaint. The confrontation was recorded on nearby CCTV cameras and a bystander’s phone video, showing the woman expressing distress as the man advanced aggressively.
Witnesses at the station helped calm the situation before the matter subsided. The woman contacted emergency services (112) shortly after the incident. Police arrived at the spot but emphasized that no formal complaint had been filed as of late Tuesday. Officers mentioned they would review the CCTV footage once a written complaint is submitted.
