A 28-year-old man from Delhi died in Bahrampur village under the Sector 65 police station area of Gurugram on Wednesday night. The incident occurred inside a vehicle under suspicious circumstances after a firearm discharged. Akash, a resident of Badarpur in Delhi, was the victim of this sudden shooting. Police have already taken the friend of the deceased into custody and seized a licensed revolver belonging to the friend’s father.
The tragedy happened around 8:00 PM on Wednesday. Akash had traveled from Delhi to meet his friend, Lucky, at his home in Bahrampur. The two friends had planned to celebrate together during the night. But the celebration turned fatal when they went out in a car. It’s a sudden and shocking turn of events for the pair.
Crime details emerging from the investigation suggest a chain of fatal negligence. During the trip, Lucky was carrying a licensed revolver that belonged to his father. While they were inside the car, the weapon was being examined or viewed. During this moment, the trigger was pulled accidentally. The bullet struck Akash directly in the head. He collapsed onto the car seat, covered in blood and unconscious. He died before medical help could save him.
Lucky rushed the victim to Meringo Hospital in Sector 57 immediately after the shooting. Doctors there examined him but declared him dead on arrival. Following the hospital’s report, teams from the Sector 65 police station and the Crime Branch arrived at the scene. They collected the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators are now looking at two different possibilities. They want to know if this was a pure accident caused by negligence or a premeditated murder. Forensic experts visited the site to collect fingerprints and other essential evidence from the vehicle and the surroundings. This is a complicated investigation.
