Lok Adalat Offers Gurugram Residents Cheap Settlement of Traffic Fines on 9 May

Gurugram, 29 April 2026 – Residents of Gurugram who have received traffic fines now have a cost‑effective option to settle them. A National Lok Adalat is being organized in the city, providing an opportunity to pay off old pending traffic tickets at reduced rates.
The Lok Adalat will be conducted on 9 May within the premises of the Gurugram District Court. The event is being overseen by District and Sessions Judge Vani Gopal Sharma, Chairperson of the District Legal Services Authority, and Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Rakesh Kadiyan**, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority.
The core aim of this Lok Adalat is to ensure swift, accessible, and lasting resolution of as many pending cases as possible through mutual agreement. In addition to traffic fines, the forum will address a wide range of matters including bank recoveries, motor‑vehicle accident claims, family disputes, civil suits, bail‑granting criminal cases, labor issues, land acquisition, utility bill disputes, revenue matters, and other minor controversies.
CJM Rakesh Kadiyan appealed to the public to take full advantage of the Lok Adalat, resolve their pending cases, and obtain speedy justice through this simplified process.
