Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor will change the picture of Manesar, the pressure of vehicles on the roads will reduce

The construction of Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor will change the face of IMT Manesar. The corridor will not only pass close to IMT Manesar, but it will also pass just 200 meters from the plant of Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest carmaker.

Pollution levels will reduce

With this, the company’s cars will be loaded into goods trains at a distance of 200 meters. At present, cars are loaded five kilometers away from the plant. Due to loading nearby, the pressure of vehicles on the roads will be reduced. There will be huge savings in diesel. Not only this, the level of pollution will also reduce.

These new stations will be built

Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC) plans to develop Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor between Palwal-Manesar-Sonipat. On the Sonipat side, stations will be built at Turkpur, Kharkhoda, Jasaur Khedi, Mandauthi, Badli, Devarkhana, Badhsa, New Patli, Pachgaon, IMT Manesar, Chandla Dungarwas, Dhulavat, Sohna, Silani and New Palwal.

The corridor will be developed along the KMP Expressway. Three plants of Maruti Suzuki are running in Manesar, while one plant is being built in Kharkhoda. In the coming time, three plants will be built there.

The corridor will pass near all the plants. In this way, cars will be loaded directly into goods trains from the plant. Not only this, it will be connected to Prithla and Tawadu through dedicated freight corridor. With this, cars will reach from Mumbai to any part of the country in minimum time.

Target to complete the project by 2025

The entire project will be developed along the KMP Expressway. Five crore tonnes of goods can be transported every day through goods trains. Trains will be able to run at speeds up to 160 kilometers per hour. Two tunnels will be built on the corridor. The construction will be done in such a way that double stack containers can also be delivered. The length of both the tunnels (up-down) will be 4.7 kilometers. The height will be 11 meters and width will be 10 meters.

The total length of the project from Palwal Railway Station to Harsana Kalan Railway Station in Sonipat will be 126 kilometers. It is estimated that Rs 5618 crore will be spent on this. Five districts Palwal, Gurugram, Nuh, Jhajjar and Sonipat will directly benefit from the project.

There will be development of surrounding areas

Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav says that the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor will accelerate the pace of development not only in Manesar but in the surrounding areas. Development will also accelerate in the surrounding rural areas. This will create new employment opportunities. The government is trying to complete the project within the stipulated time.
