NHAI begins a structural trial run on the new 10km stretch of NH-352W linking Dwarka and KMP, aiming to cut travel time from 45 minutes to about 10 minutes.
NHAI has formally started a trial run on the newly built 10km portion of the Gurugram-Rewari highway. The corridor directly connects Dwarka Expressway to the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, a route previously taking at least 45 minutes.

The 10km portion of NH-352W between Dwarka Expressway and the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway has officially entered a trial run phase. NHAI sources confirm that the route, connecting the capital region to the western flank, will be closely monitored over the next 10 days. Project director Yogesh Tilak confirmed that the service road is operational and that the main carriageway will open once the high-tension wire hurdle is resolved.
Officials deliberately launched the trial during monsoon conditions. Heavy rainfall allows engineers to examine drainage systems, pavement quality, and structural integrity under stress. If waterlogging or subsurface failure appears, correction work will start immediately. Only after passing all safety checks will heavy commercial traffic be allowed on the stretch.
Ghatti Harsoor, on the new corridor, sits beneath a high-voltage transmission line. That line is currently the final physical barrier before full operations can begin. The project director stated that the height adjustment process for the wires is already underway, which is unusual given the tight timeline. Once the electrical clearance is sorted, the main highway traffic load can shift from Delhi-Jaipur NH-48 to this bypass route.
For years, vehicles commuting between Delhi or Dwarka and KMP have faced severe congestion on NH-48. From Gurugram to Pachgaon Chowk, peak-hour travellers routinely spent 2 to 3 hours covering just 45km. The new flyover-linked bypass is expected to reduce the bottleneck on NH-48 by more than 30 percent. Drivers coming from the capital side will be able to turn toward KMP without entering the jammed stretch of the older highway.
The new corridor will directly benefit residents in Manesar, Patoudi, Ghatti Harsoor, and over 20 emerging residential or commercial sectors near Dwarka Expressway. At least 10 nearby villages will gain improved connectivity as well. Travellers heading from Delhi Airport or West Delhi toward KMP or Jaipur stand to save both time and fuel via this route. NHAI will complete the remaining work on the high-tension line and then shift the primary traffic load to the new section.
