Gurugram News: Preparations to seal 150 flats in Palam Vihar, map violation is the reason

The District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) of the Town and Country Planning Department has prepared to seal 150 flats on residential plots in C-2 Block of Palam Vihar for violating building construction rules by the builders. These flats have been built illegally on 10 residential plots where 14 to 16 flats have been constructed in one house.

The District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) of the Town and Country Planning Department has prepared to seal 150 flats on residential plots in C-2 Block of Palam Vihar for violating building construction rules by the builders. These flats have been built illegally on 10 residential plots, where 14 to 16 flats have been constructed in one house.

The residents of C-2 Block have filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against this illegal construction. Local residents say that these houses should have accommodation for only four families, but a plan has been made to accommodate 14 to 16 families.

The builders broke the seal and started construction again

This will put a lot of pressure on basic facilities like parking, electricity, water and sewer. Last month, outgoing DTPE Manish Yadav had sealed these under-construction houses. However, the builders broke the seal and started construction again.

In such a situation, strict legal action will now be taken against them and a case will be registered. DTPE has requested the District Deputy Commissioner to appoint police force and duty magistrate. The flats will be sealed in the presence of police force. Also, the Tehsildar will be instructed to ban the purchase and sale of these flats.

Survey of other blocks of Palam Vihar will also be done

DTPE has planned to conduct a survey of all the blocks of Palam Vihar. Complaints of illegal construction have also come to light in other blocks. The department has appealed to the citizens to cooperate by filing complaints against violation of the map.

DTPE Amit Madholia of Town and Country Planning Department said that according to the rules, four floors can be constructed on a residential plot. 14 to 16 flats have been built in ten houses of Palam Vihar. All such flats will be sealed and buying and selling will be banned. Strict legal action will be taken against those who break the seal.

Sewers are overflowing in the industrial area, drainage network is incomplete

Here, during a meeting with the officials of Progressive Federation of Trade and Industry (PFTI) and other industrialists, the Municipal Commissioner heard the complaints of the area and assured to ensure a quick solution.

In the meeting, PFTI Chairman Deepak Maini and other members put forth the problems of the area before the Municipal Commissioner. These mainly included the problem of sewer overflow in the industrial area, lack of drainage system, harvesting system, street lights, sanitation system, basic amenities like sewer, water, road, encroachment, footpath, property tax data and other issues. The Municipal Commissioner listened to all the problems carefully and asked Joint Commissioner Vishal Kumar and Assistant Engineer Naeem Hussain, present on the spot, to ensure a quick solution to the problem of sewerage overflow in the area. Apart from this, the process will also be started towards installing new harvesting systems in the area, so that maximum water can be put into the ground during the rains.
