Correspondent, New Gurugram. The District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) of the Town and Country Planning Department has so far issued restoration orders for 1,000 houses in DLF Phase 3.
Earlier, show cause notices were issued to these houses by the department but no satisfactory reply was received from the house owners, after which orders for restoration have been started to be given to them. If the building is not restored as per the rules within 15 days, then demolition and sealing action will be taken.
Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered action
Let us tell you that the Punjab and Haryana High Court had issued orders to the Town and Country Planning to take action within two months regarding illegal construction and operation of commercial activities in the residential houses between DLF Phase 1 to 5.
The court has also asked the department to submit an action taken report by April 19. It is worth noting that in the last two months, the DTPE of the Town and Country Planning Department has issued show cause notices to more than 4200 houses between DLF Phase 1 and 5.
Various violations have been committed in these houses including illegal construction in stilt parking, violation of building construction rules, conducting of commercial activities, due to which now the sword of action is hanging over these houses.
Among these houses, most are of EWS category in which people have constructed seven to eight floors and PG, guest house and commercial activities are being run in them.
Many actions will be taken including cancellation of OC
After the order of restoration, the paperwork on these houses will also begin. In which a recommendation will be sent to DTP Planning to cancel the occupation certificate.
After this, a letter will be written to the electricity corporation to disconnect the electricity connection and to the DLF management to disconnect the sewer-water connection. Along with this, as soon as the time limit of the restoration order expires, demolition and sealing action will be taken on the ground.
On the orders of the High Court, action is being taken at a fast pace against the houses violating the rules. After the show cause notice, restoration orders have been issued to everyone. I appeal to the people to file their replies to the notices so that people can be given a chance to be heard, otherwise after the restoration order, no hearing will be held and action will be taken.
