Gurugram news: Gurugram police launched a campaign against illegal liquor sellers on Saturday evening and arrested nine people from different places. 34 boxes, 485 bottles of illegal liquor, two cars, one auto rickshaw and one bike were recovered from their possession. Indradev Yadav, a resident of Sheikhpura in Bihar, was arrested by the crime branch of Sector-17 police station with 250 bottles of liquor near the Municipal Corporation office. Similarly, Rahul, who lives near Chhoti Mata Mandir, was arrested from Labor Chowk. 90 bottles of liquor were recovered from his possession.
Rajkumar, a resident of village Dera in Delhi, was arrested from Vatsal Valley on Gurugram-Faridabad Road. He was carrying 17 boxes of illegal liquor in an auto rickshaw. Similarly, Akash, a resident of Laxman Vihar, was arrested with 145 bottles. He was arrested from Ramlila Ground in Sector-5.
The Sikandarpur crime branch arrested Alok, a resident of Samastipur in Bihar, from near Neelkanth Hospital on MG Road. During the search, five crates of beer were recovered from his possession. He had brought the beer from Delhi in a car. The police arrested Arun Kumar, a resident of Ashok Vihar Phase 2, from MG Road Metro Station. He was carrying two crates of liquor in his car.
In this way, the police arrested Maharam, a resident of Badshahpur village, with two crates of liquor, Mahendra, a resident of Subhash Nagar, with two crates of liquor and Rajbir, a resident of Darbaripur, with six crates of liquor. A car used in smuggling was recovered from Rajbir.
