In Badshahpur, a CRPF jawan’s dispute with his wife escalated so much that the constable lost his temper and set her ablaze by pouring inflammable substance on her. The woman died a week later during treatment at the hospital.
The information of the incident was received by the Sector-65 police station. Police reached the spot and took the dead body into custody and handed over the postmortem to the family members. On the complaint of the deceased’s brother, the police have started investigation by registering a case under section 302 of the IPC against the accused constable’s husband.
According to Sector-65 station in-charge, Karamchand, a resident of Gurugram NewsHisar, told that his sister Sita was married to Dharamveer, a resident of Bhiwani, about 10 years ago. Dharamveer is posted as constable in CRPF.
The incident took place on July 17
On July 17, there was a dispute between Sita and Dharamvir regarding something. The dispute between the two escalated so much that Dharamveer lost his temper and set her on fire by pouring inflammable substance on her.
During this the neighbors gathered, who extinguished the fire and admitted Sita to the hospital. As soon as the information about the incident took place on July 17, Sector-65 police station reached the hospital, but due to the critical condition of the injured, his statement could not be recorded.
Accused not arrested: Police
Karamchand told the police that Sita died on July 23 during treatment. After which the police took the dead body in possession and handed it over to the family members after postmortem. On the complaint of Karamchand, the police registered a case of murder and started investigation.
According to the station in-charge, the accused could not be arrested. The case is being investigated. Soon the accused will be arrested.
