Gurugram news: Big news! Cloverleaf will be built to connect Dwarka and Mumbai Expressway

Gurugram news, Dwarka and Mumbai Expressway: The way has been cleared for the plan to connect Dwarka Expressway with Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has given preliminary approval to Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) to develop cloverleaf near Vatika Chowk on NH 248A (Gurugram-Sohna Elevated Road). GMDA plans to build an elevated road from Cloverleaf to Vatika Chowk, connecting Dwarka Expressway and NH48. After the construction of these two, the traffic pressure on NH248A, SPR (Southern Peripheral Road) and Golf Course Extension Road will be reduced.

On Monday, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav at the NHAI headquarters in Delhi. NHAI Regional Officer Mohammad Saifi, Project Officer Yogesh Tilak, GMDA Chief Executive Officer A. Srinivas, Chief Engineer Arun Dhankhar, Rajesh Bansal, Executive Engineer Vikas Malik etc. were present in it.

GMDA officials told the NHAI Chairman that permission should be granted for the construction of cloverleaf near Vatika Chowk on NH248A. Told him that at present, drivers reaching Vatika Chowk via SPR from Golf Course Extension Road or Dwarka Expressway have to go from Vatika Chowk to Bhondsi or from Vatika Chowk to Subhash Chowk to board the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. . After this, climb on the elevated highway and leave for Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

Gurgaon-Sohna Road

Due to this, there is more traffic on Gurgaon-Sohna Road. The NHAI Chairman was told that there is a plan to build about 5.5 km long elevated road to connect Dwarka Expressway to NH 248A. After this, Dwarka Expressway, NH-48 and NH248A will be connected. Thousands of drivers will benefit from this every day.

The issue of toll fee was raised in the meeting

According to sources, the issue of toll fee came up in this meeting. NHAI Chairman said that a toll plaza has been installed near village Ghamdouj on NH248A. In such a situation, objections will be raised regarding toll fee. A GMDA official told in the meeting that satellite based tolls are being imposed by NHAI. In such a situation, the drivers will have to pay toll as per the rate fixed per kilometer, due to which there will be no objection.

condition of SPR road is worse

At present the condition of SPR (Southern Peripheral Road) is in a bad state. If a driver has to go to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway from Dwarka Expressway, then it takes 20 to 25 minutes to cross this bad road. Due to high traffic pressure, drivers have to face problems. Let us tell you that sectors 68 to 79 on SPR are developed. About 20 thousand families have started living in these sectors. In such a situation, the pressure of vehicles on SPR remains high in the morning and evening.
