Gurugram news: Fraudsters duped a young man by giving him the false promise of earning huge profits by doing tasks. First, the fraudsters gave him profits by making him invest by giving him a task and then withdrew money from the victim’s account by sending a link. The victim has registered a case in this matter at Cyber Police Station West and has started investigation.
Victim Apoorv Verma told the police in his complaint that on September 6, he received an offer from an unknown number to earn huge profits by completing a task. When he clicked on the given link, he was added to a Telegram group. He was first given a paid task of Rs 2,000. Upon completing which, Rs 2800 was sent to his account.
After this, another link was sent to him. After clicking on it, his mobile got switched off. After this, when the victim charged his phone and turned it on, the cyber thugs had withdrawn Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand from his two bank accounts by hacking his mobile. After which the victim realized that he had been cheated.
