Dengue has knocked in the district amidst the heat. On Thursday, dengue has been confirmed in the reports of three people of DLF City Phase-2 and Gandhi Nagar located in Sector 53. If we look at the data of the Health Department, 31298 houses have been surveyed so far. Whereas, 314 samples have been taken. Apart from this, cases of diarrhea are also increasing rapidly.

The health department is conducting a door-to-door survey. Samples of suspected people are being taken due to the possibility of dengue. Along with this, people are being told about the preventive measures against the outbreak of dengue and are also being appealed to clean the water accumulated in every small and big place like coolers, pots, fridge trays, tyres, tubes, troughs etc. and to take precautions.

According to experts, dengue mosquito breeds only in clean water. Its carrier is Aedes mosquito, which bites during the day. In normal cases of dengue, the fourth to seventh day of fever is very dangerous.

Only NS1 test comes positive from the first day to five days, while ELISA test comes positive after five days. Dengue cases have increased in the last two years. Last year, about 440 cases of dengue were reported, while one death was also recorded due to dengue.

Keep this in mind

If symptoms of dengue are visible, then get treatment under the supervision of a doctor. Do not try to treat yourself. If during testing in any lab, more than the price fixed by the state government is being charged, then also inform the health department.

Test rates fixed in private hospitals

The state government has fixed Rs 600 for testing dengue and chikungunya in all private hospitals and labs in the district. At the same time, Rs 1000 has been fixed for RTPCR test of chikungunya.
