Gurugram. While the Gurugram police was making big claims about the security arrangements for the civic elections, a night before, on Saturday night, six armed miscreants barged into the house of a doctor in Sector 4 in the heart of the city, held the family members hostage and carried out a robbery for an hour.
After assaulting the family members, the miscreants fled from the house with cash and jewellery worth lakhs. The police team which arrived on the information is investigating.
What time did the incident happen?
The search for the accused has been started with the help of dog squad and CCTV cameras. Dr KL Khurana runs his clinic in Nuh and has a house in Sector 4. At around 8 pm on Saturday night, the gate of his house was open and the children were playing outside.
How much money and jewellery did he take?
Meanwhile, six armed masked goons found the gate open and entered the house and closed the gate. The goons entered the house and held the Khurana couple, their son and two maids hostage at knife and gun point.
The miscreants beat them up. After carrying out the crime for about an hour, these people fled with cash and jewellery worth lakhs. The exact amount of money and jewellery taken by the miscreants is not yet known.
On receiving the information, ACP Crime Varun Dahiya, dog squad and fingerprint team reached the spot. During investigation, it was found that the miscreants had come on scooty and bike. They had parked their vehicles a little distance away from the house.
Sector-9 police station in-charge Inspector Kuldeep said that after investigation in the house, the accused are being searched in the surrounding area. At present, the exact amount of cash and jewellery taken by the miscreants is not known. The accused will be arrested soon. The miscreants are being searched by putting up blockades in the surrounding area.
Entered the house and beat him, case registered
On the other hand, some people entered a house in New Palam Vihar Phase 1 of Bajghera police station area of Gurugram and beat up the people. The victims have filed a case against two people. Anoop Sharma, a resident of New Palam Vihar Phase 1, said that he was present at his home on Friday night. His brother Pankaj Sharma was in the street.
Meanwhile, two people came in a car and started beating Pankaj. When he came to rescue them, they beat him too. The accused entered the house and beat up other people too. After this, the accused fled after threatening to kill them.
