In fact, when the farmers had announced the Delhi Chalo Andon on February 13, the Haryana government had shut down mobile internet in seven districts. Issuing an advisory, the government had suspended mobile internet services,

bulk SMS and all dongle services provided on mobile networks, except voice calls, in most areas of Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts. . In view of the farmers’ movement, this ban has now been extended.

Permanent barricading on Shambhu border

Shambhu border of Haryana-Punjab has been closed permanently. The reason, last time the barricading done by the police was thrown into the river by the farmers with their tractors.
