Good news for thousands of people of Gurugram, 12 illegal colonies regularized; will get basic facilities

There is good news for thousands of people of Gurugram. The state government has regularized 74 illegal colonies, giving great relief to the people. Out of these, 12 illegal colonies of Gurugram have been regularized. The Municipal Corporation will now provide facilities like roads, sewer, drinking water and street lights in these colonies. For the last several years, the people here were troubled due to lack of facilities in these colonies.

Gurugram. There is a relief news for the people who have been waiting for a long time for the regularization of illegal colonies. The state government has regularized 74 illegal colonies, out of which 12 colonies are from Gurugram. Most of the illegal colonies that have been regularized are from Bhondsi area.

After their regularization, the Municipal Corporation will provide facilities like roads, sewer, drinking water and street lights to thousands of residents here. For the last many years, people here were troubled due to lack of facilities in these colonies. Now, after the regularization of these colonies, they will get convenience.

These 12 colonies were regulated

The 12 colonies that have been regularized are Mayur Kunj (earlier this construction was Enclave Extension) Bhondsi, Chandan Vihar Phase-2 Chauma, Royal Bhavani Enclave Bhondsi, RR Colony Badshahpur, Siyaram Enclave Bhondsi, Vatika Kunj Bhondsi, Nihal Colony (new name Nikhil Vihar) Chauma.

Apart from this, Sarai Alawardi, Maruti Kunj Extension Bhondsi, Vatika Kunj Part-2 Bhondsi, Saraswati Enclave Extension Part-2, Kadipur-Khandsa, Shanti Kunj Part-2 Bhondsi and Sneh Vihar Colony Bhondsi are included. In the budget presented by the government last Monday, it was announced to regularize 2145 illegal colonies of the state.

Proposal was sent for 103 colonies

Municipal Corporation Gurugram had sent a total of 103 illegal colonies to the headquarters for regularization. Out of these, 19 colonies have been regularized in 2023 and 2024. A total of 35 colonies were left, out of which 12 have now been regularized.

Development fee has to be paid

To avail the basic facilities, the residents of Neemuch colony will have to deposit the development fee in the Municipal Corporation as per the collector rate. If the development fee is not deposited, the house or land cannot be registered because for this a no-objection certificate has to be obtained first which is issued by the Municipal Corporation.

Registration for working women housing begins

On the other hand, registrations have been started for staying in the working women hostel located in Civil Lines. Any working woman can get registered here as per the prescribed rules. Warden of the working women hostel, Kavita Sarkar, said that there are 40 rooms in the hostel.

The renovation work of all the rooms is being done on a war footing. The working women hostel was being run by the District Red Cross. Now from this session it will be run by KV Enterprises in a public-private partnership.
